Pros & Cons
Pros
This thing is fantastic. The tone is as fantastic as anything you'd hear from ampeg. My only complaint is that this amp won't go into overdrive.
A nice upgrade from my fender 40 watt practice amp. Great little amplifier has all the power that you need for playing around with some buddies.
Cons
Ampeg amp has very unclean garbled sound. Guessing that there was a weak soldering point on the circuit board, or grounding wire.
Highlights

Total newbie to bass, and time will tell as far as durability, but the ampeg is clear, loud and has good tone as far as my neop... Read More
Ampeg has a great reputation of quality amps for the working players.
This amp blew me away the minute i turned it on, made me sound like a pro on my schecter omen extreme bass, and i'm no pro!
Very small and lite (when your closing in on 60, lite is a big issue).
Price
Full price or a discount forget the fender and buy this, you'll be so happy, and thanks to amazon got it at an amazing price.
It's a little pricey but i wanted to get something with a good name and enough power to keep me amused for a while.
But realistically for the price paid, i can't complain.
Shipping
I got it 2 days later before i left for work and i almost called out "sick.
It came in the mail, got here on time.
Packaging/appearance
Classic ampeg vibe in a small little package, it looks super cool in the corner.
It looks good and i think you'd fill any coffee house or small bar with it just fine.
I was blown away with the full, punchy sound you get out of this small package.
Came with a blown fuse but once we replaced it, it works good.
Competitiveness
This amp, with its 2x10" speakers is competitive with any 100 watt amp out there, even comparable to my fender bassman 100 with... Read More

Can be used for music playback through aux input but needs a little eq going in for best results or go in through main input using the amps 3 band eq

My only complaint which isnt really a justified complaint is that this amp wont go into overdrive or get dirtycrunchy at max volume which some would argue is not the bass players job anyway

My 10 year old zoom pedal filters that out though
