The house is on a slab so the whole house humidifier on the furnace would not work for me

They usually last 34 years at which point either the motor dies or the inaccessible innards accumulate so much dust and soot that we retire the unit and buy another

The wicks last about 46 weeks not even close to the stated 3 months but that may just be a result of water quality not sure
