Pros & Cons
Pros
Gasket for watertight seal, frosted lens for light distribution. Works great with the 6 halo recessed light fixture. Great value for the price of halo.
Great replacement piece. Bought one from the big local handy store and couldn't believe the pricing.
Easy to install and durable. Easy to swap out. Easy to install.
The new lens looks better than the old lens because it is terraced to protrude through the bezel aperture and give a less recessed look. It's kind of a grayish white.
Cons
The ceiling is perfectly square but the hangers create pressure points and the plastic is too flimsy to withstand it. The frosted lens is pretty restrictive of light so be prepared to put in a 100w.

The broken model had the plastic mount section crack and break off so it was being held in the ceiling by only one of the two side mounts

As it turns out the broken model was a nicor one

The metal armsprings that attach this to the ceiling are affixed to the plastic frame and the halo design is clearly better

The halo metal armes are threaded through a hole and then pulled up so that the weight of the connection is held by the whole unit

The nicor one is pushed down on the lip and over a single notch so that force is directed to a single point and this point is much more likely to break

Just remember there is no light with this
