I first started using them about 10 years ago and i guess the technology must have been fairly new as they would start off very dim and take about 30 minutes to reach full brightness

Ive found this effect isnt really relevant for downlighting applications where the bulb is close to the ceiling or when the bulb is fitted inside a globe or similar type light fitting

I was pleased to be offered these terich led light bulbs featuring the b22 bayonet cap type base to review as the traditional shape suits my ceiling light fittings perfectly and although they are not dimmable they have a decent build quality for the price

These bulbs offer a good energy saving with their a rating the light comes on instantly like an oldstyle filament one and they have a similar warm white colour

This type of bulb should have a very long life – 30000 hours is quoted here
