The key to fitting them on is to not try to drive your fingers into them by holding on the collar but by pushing them on by the palm and back of the hand area

Gambled on these as i really didnt like the traditional oven mitts or trivet style too restricting too hard to clean and most of them started coming apart after just the first wash

My only slight issue is that according to the heat rating you should be able to hold onto the pan for 30 seconds or so and be fine which is somewhat questionable
