    The battery that came with my laser lasted 1 month but i dont know how old the battery actually was.

    On first installation into my lasermax the light did not work.

    I removed the battery and checked it with a meter, and found it good at 3 volts, reinstalled it, and it still did not work.

    The reason dawned on me later - the wrapper was proud of the negative end, preventing contact with the flat contact plate in the laser.

    I took a superfine file, trimmed the edge of the wrapper, and then it worked fine.

    Batteries won't work unless you remove the green cover.
