Temperatures for deep fat frying are clearly and largely displayed around the outer face of the thermometer and there is a moveable marker to choose your target temperature with a bright read temperature indicator that is easy to see

However if you are looking for a meat thermometer for your grill or a candy thermometer i would not recommend this one

The markings for candy temperatures are in very small print and there is no guide to show you candy stages

This is not accurate and its way off

I tested it against two other thermometers at the same time and they both read the same temperature and this thermometer was off by 10degrees which is not good

Even at room temperature it reads 5 degrees low
