Readout very dim and supposedly had a beep when temperature appears but you cant hear the beep

I brought it in june so i can be ready if i ever need to check my temperature and it appear to be ok

This week i need to check my temperature and i used it twice and now its broke the button to push down no longer works and when it comes on it says error

The display shuts off automatically after 2 minutes or you can switch it off to save on the battery life
