Ok how dose this keep them from taking my bike it though the wheel and back to the bike all i try locking it to the bike rack to but unless the bike is side ways it dont work i hook to the bike rack to the tire then saw they could just take the wheel off one way or throw the bike in to a car the other unless you can put you bike side ways this is useless.

The bike lock was also starting to rust where the connectors are from sitting out in the rain.

Lock portion rusted and got jammed after a while to the point of not working properly.

The small key that comes with it is pretty weak as well, it snapped in the cold weather.

That said, the locking mechanism for this lock moves on its own: i open it but by the time i put the 2 pieces in position, its rotated closed again, an annoyance, perhaps a sign it won't hold up to diddling.

The mount is for steel frames only, won't fit larger aluminum or carbon frames.
