We tend to use litmus test orders for certain types of restaurants and for this type of dining that initial test is ordering hummus

On top of that the bread we were served with the hummus was stone cold and so hard as to border on coming off as stale this made no sense given that the proprietor even pointed out some bread being made freshly as we were leaving

There are so many dining options in istanbul we simply werent willing to risk a bad entree after a very poor hummus and bread experience to start
