Just returned from a wonderful stay at artemis hotel

We booked this hotel based on the thomas cook brochure and photos and initially were disappointed that the room did not match the pictures shown and though comfortable we were expecting a bit more

We were told there are only 30 odd taxis on the island which were all based in fira so wouldn’t recommend to anyone with mobility problems

So you can’t reach the hustle and bustle see the famous santorini sunsets and then return to the peace of the artemis

The hotel is located to the rear of the resort surrounded by mountains and adjacent to the small church located half way up the nearby cliff face where from the pool side you can watch the more energetic traveller climb the pathway to visit along with the extended pathway which will apparently you to ancient thira

As others have said it is a lovely place run by lovely people and like many we are looking to return next year
