Sadly my old 40$ straightener does a better job than this one. The plates don’t fully close on one another so it took me about 20 extra minutes to straighten my hair. which puffed right back around 2 hours later. Avoid it - I returned it after 2 uses.  Read Less

I’ve had it for about a year now. In the beginning it took some getting use to, but I chopped it up to not being familiar with flat irons overall since I rarely used it previously. I recently got a hair cut with shoulder length hair and found this to be an amazing everyday routine. It smooths the stray hair strands out without drying, and I like to give my arm a quick turn at the bottom to have a curled in bounce sometimes. I’ve also been able to make loose waves with it (both long and short hair). The only complain I would have is that it doesn’t clamp down all the way, leaving bits of gaps so some hair will slip out. I have fine silky hair that doesn’t normally need brushing so maybe this wouldn’t be much of an issue for ppl with thicker hair.  Read Less
