Upped my mom's brush game with this: good weight and length of the handle, the bristles are not too long for good smudging, and the head isn't too wide for control.

It didn't apply eye shadow smoothly and made harsh lines.

I use it to smudge out the lower lash line, the upper lash line, for the brow bone, inner corners, and it can even create a soft cat eye.

It gently lays down a whisper of color all over the lid and then can smudge out shadow for a soft smokey eye.
