This was recommended by my hair stylist and I honestly don’t love it. I’ve had it a couple months now so I’ve been using it for a while. the vibration pulls my hair so much Its uncomfortable to use. It does make my hair more shiny than my previous one (which was over 10 years old) but it’s not a one-pass straighten like it claims. Let me start off by saying I have been a faithful Chi user for over 15 years. I upgraded my Chi a few years ago to the Chi Lava and I was convinced it was drying/frying my hair. I decided to try the GHD pro straightener after that. It worked okay but didn't make my fine, wavy and frizzy hair sleek and shiny as I would like and the plates were snagging my hair. My friend uses Bio Ionic and her hair looks great so I decided to try one too. The first use, I could see the difference in softness and shininess of my hair. It was very sleek and took all the frizziness away. The ends did not look dry or fried. The next time I straightened my hair, I used the Chi Lava to compare and it definitely was drying my hair and making it look dull. I went online to read other reviews and people were saying that, too! This Bio Ionic is not cheap-make sure you register your warranty right away. My hair looks great using this and it lasts through heat and humidity. I highly recommend!  Read Less

This is my second flat iron from the brand. I previously had another model that lasted over 10 years. I mean it still works now but not properly so I decided it was time to buy a new one. I was hard on my iron too... I dropped it a few times and used it a lot. These are all reasons why I decided to purchase from Bio Ionic again. I love that the tip is rounded; it makes it easier to get close to the hairline around the ears where I usually get kinks. I also like that I can adjust the heat setting. It heats up to the highest one in less than a minute. I have long wavy fine hair and a lot of it. I usually try to blow dry it straight and use this to really make it flat and smooth. It takes me less than 10 minutes to get it all done. My hair looks silky and shiny. In the past I have tried other brands but when I found this brand I knew I would never stray.
