Pros & Cons
Pros
The knife handles are two toned to match the base. The plastic on the knives feels light, not weighty, but you will find you'll get a good grip. They are incredibly sturdy and the handles are very comfortable.
Henckels offer a competitive weight and sharpness for a lower price. In the past i use my kyocera alot due to the lighter weight nature of ceramic knives while still offering incredible sharpness. They are still stainless steel, but high carbon, so th... Read More
The set comes with three knives, a knife sharpener and a pair of scissors. The sharpener is much more fine that a similar sharpener that i own. The added honing rod is a great reminder to keep my knives sharp as well. Comes with a sharpening tool but ... Read More
The blades are thicker, but the block they came with is far superior. Ice-hardened blades are extremely sharp.
The 6 piece set has two extra slots for additional knives. My older block has a santoku knife slot and i want to replace it with this one. Theres two slots for knives that are not filled. I get it; it's so people will buy more.
Cons
They have no heft. They lack a firm even balance, and they are without a solid and substantial bolster (a unit that connects the knife blade to the handle) confusing also is the red zwilling logo.
Highlights
Quality
I was surprised at the quality of these knives
Ive been using knives from this brand for some years and have been really happy with the ongoing quality of them
The knives are all pretty light weight feeling and i hope that is by design not a quality issue
My biggest issue with the set oddly enough
Price
My twingourmet set of knives cost literally 4x what this block costs but these knives have the same level of sharpness
Packaging/appearance
Feel great in the hand and come shaving sharp out of the box
Yes it looks cool but i have to slide it out or tip it over to get a knife out of the block
Competitiveness
This would make a great wedding or birthday gift for somebody in the family who loves to cook and doesnt yet have a set of high... Read More
I have to say that these offer a competitive weight and sharpness for a lower price
If you are looking into getting some nice cooking blades you could do a lot worse than thos
Usually high carbon stainless steel is much more expensive especially from a namebrand company

I would measure the space if you are going to have this sitting on a counter with lower cabinets it won’t work as well because you can’t get the knives out without moving it out from the cabinet
