I do a lot of hiking and it fits in my daypack perfectly
If everything was perfect right out of the box id definitely give it a 5star rating
I compared this to the mefoto globetrotter tripod and it looks to equal the performance for half the price

The supporting pad cant be turned to the side of the camera by 90 degree

The only thing i found little wired is that the case only has one hook for the carrying belt so i have to put both ends of the belt in the single hook which is difficult to carry

Old reviewi found it ironic and highly disappointing to spend 200 on a tripod and to have the leg fall apart on the second use

A lot of the reviews written for this tripod claim that it is fragile and cheap

With my old tripod i had to set my camera on a timer so that i could allow the tripod to stabilize before it took the picture
