First, wash the rice. Rinse the rice a lot-like 4 or 5 times to keep the starch from sticking. I rinse my rice like you’re supposed to like 4-5 times until the water is clear. Gets rid of the starch and eliminates the bubbling over problem.
Cons
The rice cooks unevenly. The spring on the heating element is too firm. I use a timer to shut the unit down before it turns itself off.
"it makes a huge mess on the counter through the steam release valve. The glass lid did not fit at all on the cooker. You get a measuring cup that measures in multiples of 20.
The included instructions are not the real instructions. It’s not even worth donating. Avoid like the that pandemic.

I was taught that you use the rice measured and then fill to the mark 1 2 3… as it measures volume
