I purchased these because my water heater located in the garage is 16 years old and i wanted to be alerted in case the water heater developed a leak although the heater was replaced before developing a leak i was so impressed with this product that i bought several and placed them at the dishwasher refrigerator and the washing machine

When the dishwasher repairman was here the dishwasher started leaking

Wouldnt you know 2 weeks later the water pump in the dishwasher started to leak and set off the alarm

I just received it today from amazon and put in place less than an hour before the return pump to my 180 gallon aquarium broke spilling about 5 gallons of water in about a minute before i was able to stop it
