Pros

The instructions are clear, the quality is amazing and the fit and process was great, even for a novice like myself! You have to be careful drilling the holes but the end results are very good and the attachment is well concealed.

Cons

Flimsy material. Don't bother trying to use it. Wasted a bunch of time and money.

Product is easy to get started but does not tighten. Only thing worse than a niche fastener is one that breaks in its install. All screws started to strip out their head & is a nightmare to fix.

The product is really designed for single railing. Tried to set my stair rail with this thing. The bolt is now stuck inside the handrail.

Im very happy with the results and also like to be able to easily disassemble and reassemble

Issue i have is the plugs are too small to fit snuggly in the 1” hole using the spade but that comes with the zip bolt drill guide kit

I do however object to the shipping charges and feel that is a big value for money drawback for that id rate at 3 out of 5 stars if i could

Packaging/appearance

Was an excellent easy to install produce no holes soon nails or screws

Not directly related but important the packaging is rather poor and parts can be lost during shipping

Drilling the end holes in the railing can be challenging if like me are working with a railing previously mounted with dowels

Competitiveness

The local bigbox stores just had big lag bolt sorts of things

They weren’t to bad to put in but getting the bolt started into the gear nut was a task
