Scale is tempered thick glass and grey plastic. It's lightweight, easy to move, sturdy, no wobbling. The glass is the thickest of any glass scale i found.

Many of the newer scales operate the same way. The only thing i cannot speak on is the battery life as mine is a recent purchase.
