As other reviews said it did tear easily especially towards the end of its life during class chunks started to come off onto my arms

Its elastic so it clamps down nicely on however tight you roll your mat instead of being a set size and forcing you to roll and reroll to get the size just right

It is also long enough to fold over for extra padding at the upper back maybe im the only person who does that

It does have an odd smell when first unpackaged but it didnt last long
