Pros & Cons
Pros
Zeiss and leica monoculars are excellent, but excel in different ways. The plastic zeiss is much lighter than the all metal leica. Amazing for backpacking light. Ultralight, small, durable - it fits in any pocket.
Beautifully crafted, lightweight, no reason to not take it with you. Zeiss warranties it for lifetime; however, i have yet to see how easy the claim process is.
The slide focus takes a little getting used to in contrast to the turning ring of the leica. Focusing requires two hands, but is easily learned. We no longer usebinoculars as this instrument is so compact and easy to put in a pocket or purse.
The zeiss optics are amazing! The optics are fantastic. But then it weighs half as much, 2 ounces versus 4, and the optics are superb.
Cons
However, the cylinder assembly is plastic. This makes it lightweight, but also not as robust as aluminum of say a mini maglite. The optics are not great. Imho, it is nowhere near what i would expect from zeiss.
Highlights
Quality
I enjoy its quality and the nice leather pouch it came with
Optics are a high quality multi crisp with negligible edge distortion with a decent exit pupil and field size for such a small tool
I know that given its quality i will have it for man years
84 ounces durable and gives excellent image quality however you may need to consider the following limitations before buying it
Price
The main advantage that you get for the high price is very small weight as miniquick is 34 times as light as other similar monoculars
The optics quality is not superior to other small monoculars such as brunton echo and carson closeup while the price is much higher 140 vs
Packaging/appearance
It is however not waterproof as i found inadvertently in the laundry
Competitiveness
This is a top of the line monocular perhaps the best in a 10x25
Plenty of other monoculars are on the market but none so small and capable as this one

This limitation is inevitable for an ultraportable monocular since a smalldiameter objective lens is inherently insufficient for collecting enough light in semidarkness

Yes it does not have the chromatic pop and clarity of the leica 8x20 monovid so the color of birds will not be quite as standout
