Pros

The batis 40mm is a joy to use. The optical performance is outstanding and images are super-sharp. Fantastic lense; next to zero ca or distortion.

Autofocus and auto eye focus is pretty fast (compared to nikon d5300) and manual focus is decent too, but i wish the ring was more textured. Just about everything is in focus, and if you use peaking sometimes your whole screen will be colored on a hug... Read More

Purchased for portraiture, but proving quite useful for winter landscape. For those that want to do some wildlife, more candid portraits and maybe those crazy detailed panoramas, this is pretty good.

If you are looking for a well-padded, zippered case with a shoulder strap, this is a good choice. It is rugged and brilliant.

The lens is large for the a6000 but its light weight does not cause an unbalance and allows for comfortable handling. Reasonable size and weight, balances beautifully on sony a7riii.

Theres very little drama with the lens as it just works

Love the lens overall very fast and great auto focus

Packaging/appearance

The packaging feels so premium and protective i almost want to put the lens back in it every night

The lens came sooner than listed and packaging was secure i’m impressed and grateful

I swear i could even see all my emotions swirled into the bokeh smooth and buttery like what’s left of my broken heart

Its a tad more plasticky than i personally would like but that does keep the weight down
