The zebra v-301 seems very underrated on the internet. This pen fits my daily use. The pen likes to rotate in your hand!

This pen writes just as well as the pelikan fountain pen that i own. It writes, but ink flow is a little spotty.

Not exceptional craftsmanship but definitely not cheap. The stainless steel barrel is nice. Zebra looks very technical and futuristic (in a retro future way) and the metro has a less futuristic more sophisticated look.

The zebra v-301 is a piece of junk. Its design is pretty but it's useless. The build of this pen is ok, no biggie. The pen is bad.

Hard to write with. Not appropriate for a novice fountain pen user. It skips constantly and requires writing at a very limited angle to make it work at all. Wouldn't write unless in reverse mode with nib upside down.

The refill cartridge appears to be proprietary, instead of international standard. Do not plan to play with ink changes, some inks turn to goo if mixed.

Even the $3 disposable varsity are better than this pen. This pen is a frustrating experience and a complete waste of money.
