I just thing way too much time was spent on that aspect of the story because in the end it really had no affect on the mystery nor was it a particularly effective red herring

I am really glad i kept my promise to the author to follow up with one more of of his novels as an act of kindness to help repay him for the punishment the humiliation the nastiness he must have suffered researching insider material for his novel troubleshooter an outlaw biker club
