I'm very happy with the yongnuo 560 flashgun.
The build quality improvement since the yn-460 now matches the canon at a fraction of the price.
The quality is good and comes in its own protective case.
With the yn-560-tx controller this is a great set - up for the money.
Price
From my point of view, the price was very good for such a well spec'd flash gun.
Great for the price just what i needed
Competitiveness
Very good value for money compared to canon speedlites for anyone wanting a manual flash.
I now have seven yongnuo flashes, five of them are yn 560 iii and i simply think they are super and at a great price.
For event photography i still normally use a big name manufacturers with ttl but plan to try a yongnuo ttl on my next flash purchase.

It comes with it's own stand which you can attach to tripods so you could use the flashgun away from the camera hotshoe.
