It is a slick suede-like surface and it is impossible to stay put during practice unless there is some moisture to help stick.

I’m a little disappointed as the white on this mat isn’t as neat as bright as i thought it would be but other than that it’s really nice.

It's really hard to explain the material: it is a little heavy, however it's also very thin.
