Many of the characters they focus on in the book do feel like actual thought and depth were given to them with the narration being colored by the character that they are following

And thus when the story shifts from how one character sees an event to how another character sees that same event it leads to revelations that actually make sense

The story progresses with a look at different characters and their surroundings in separate chapters so the action is never on the same characters for more than 1 chapter

Each episode ends and jumps to another place of the story in the next episode leaving you wanting to know where the last episode will go

If i didnt know any better i would think this was written by stephen king or deen koontz
