I have to leave the float switch propped up so it will stay on to completely drain out all of the water

If you are trying to pump out water that is only a few inches deep it takes a couple minutes for it to prime itself but it eventually will

The pump works well almost as expected but i do not think it is capable of pumping 8000 liters in one as the manufacturer says

This pump emptied a 15k gallon pool in about 6 hours so i dont know about the advertised flow rate

I read some people reporting pump failures but the directions do note its not designed for continuous use so this is not meant for a water feature of any kind
