Pros

The musiccast controller app is a good way to get the most out of your wx-201 speaker. Set up the surround - in the musiccast controller app select the receiver, go to setup speakers, then surround speaker.

These small speakers sound great and are soooo easy to set up. The speakers do a good job but initially i was having some lip-sync problems with the audio for movies and tv, which i did not have when i had wired surround speakers.

The musiccast app on my iphone and ipad makes controlling every functional aspect of all three devices super easy. The only other downside to musiccast is that sirus on demand is not included. List https://usa.

The unit contains a 3-1/2 woofer and a 1-1-8 soft dome tweeter, rated at 25 watts and 15 watts respectively. It has a nice amount of bass and depending on what you are upgrading from, if anything, you may be happy with the speaker.

Cons

One common theme i've seen in reviews is could not connect to network, had to call yamaha. Do not buy these things. Highly regret this purchase.

I did this instead of wiring all which i neither wanted to pay for nor do myself

For the price i expected a little more

Then i saw these and waited for a nice price drop to buy them so i could wall mount them where the dog couldnt knock them over

By far better than polk and another option i tried previously

Several years ago costco had a great sale on the yamaha tsr7810

They are basically more expensive sonos one with better connectivity bluetooth

However it is much better than the wx010 it replaced
