UPDATE: This is an awesome guitar. Knowing Yamaha’s reputation for the finest pianos and a proud owner of one, I expected the same quality with their guitars. I was not surprised. The detail is amazing. The headstock and neck are matte finished and not glossed like the high gloss on the body. This is uncommon with most guitars. You can say it’s a two-tone finish. Very professional looking! I own a similar priced Fender and the rich deep tone on the Yamaha is slightly richer and fuller considering the top is a laminated genuine spruce and not a solid top as in the higher priced models over the $200 range (guitar only). This is very much a professional instrument any player from beginner to advanced will love! Yamaha would not lower their standards, EVER! The compensated saddle on the bridge is a step up from the smooth surfaced saddle found on lower end models. This will insure accurate intonation. The tuners are solid chrome and hold their tension extremely well resulting in less need for string tuning. I have looked at numerous guitars and the wood selection on this guitar is second to none. Knowing how Yamaha prides itself in select woods for their pianos, the beauty of this guitar will astound you and follows the tradition of Yamaha. You will always see a Yamaha instrument on any stage.The case is 300% better than expected. It has a 1/4 inch heavy padded heavy duty high quality interior. The exterior is equally high quality professional grade. There are five hinges, one with a lock and key! The case alone sells for $75 separately and this guitar alone sells for $150. The quality of the case is the same quality of the guitar which snugly fits inside with a compartment for accessories (standard feature). I am not impressed with the tuner (bundle accessory) but purchased the Nordic Instruments 2 pack model along with a Snark. The sunburst model is beautiful to look at as it sounds and you will find yourself looking for a stand to display this beauty of a guitar!  Read Less
