Pros

Works great. Only complaint is older carlon version had a very small washer to keep motion sensor locked in place. Appears to be a 100% form, fit and function replacement for the old carlon unit.

It screws into the light base and then you screw a lightbulb into it. Works fairly well for when you return home unexpectedly after dark.

The motion activated switch is just the right thing for my existing porch light. I use it in my garage so that when i enter from the house, i don't have to feel for the switch. Don't forget the 9 volt battery in the sensor.

Cons

Requires a 9 volt battery. Made the mistake of believing in product and waited to install. The warranty is apparently a one-time deal.
