Unfortunately it was solely due to the poor quality of the bench and we had to be extremely careful when using it because it felt so unsafe
Also the send a small refund back to me which was not needed but greatly appreciated

There are so many choices and price ranges
Packaging/appearance
Everything needed for assembly was included with the packaging
The delivery packaging fit of entire assemblyno loose parts long bolts etc and robustness of the bench was well worth the price tag

Its definitely the safest choice and is worth the extra money to buy an xmark fid bench that will hold up under heavy use
This bench cost about twice as much as the popular cheapos listed on amazon but i wanted something solid
But holds great under 500lbs of weight so i cannot complain

One word of note is that for whatever reason the assembly instructions contained a parts list that doesnt match the bench

So i was disheartened at first to notice that i appeared to be missing several nuts and washers of various sizes that i thought were needed to complete assembly given that the manual lists the same model number as the bench

Upon closer inspection of the assembly instructions however i noticed that the missing pieces werent necessary to assembly and there were other parts included in the package that were not listed on the parts list e

So long story short the missing pieces werent needed and i had exactly what was needed to assemble the bench notwithstanding the fact that the parts list up front was a mismatch

The bench is extremely sturdy on the ground and although i read reviews that it was high off the ground it is only about an inch or two higher than most benches
