    You have to advance the volume on the player to max, then set the speaker to max to get any real sound out of it.

    I must say when i ordered this i thought the sound would be tinny but to my surprise it wasn't.

    The only thing i think is bad is the cord is way to short for the notepad while keeping it plugged in to an outlet.

    I had a temporary panic because they stopped working, but i didn't realize (duh) that you had to also plug the usb plug into the computer to keep it charged.
