It is a twopiece case that most easily goes on the phone in two steps

The main piece is a large rubber shell with squishy bumper protection that makes an excellent shock absorber

The case is snug around the long length of the phone which is as it should be

It is loose along the short edges though enough that bits of debris get in between the case and the phone

On the long edge the case is tight where the hard shell holds it but over the buttons it is quite loose like along the short edges
