Static cling was controlled. Seem to help a lot with heavier darks, keeps them from clumping. Works well for most every kind of clothing, towels, and sheets. Only time static is an issue is if i'm drying a collection of flannel items.

Cons

Clothes are super staticky. Now all of my black clothes have white lint that wasn't removed. Makes my laundry no softer and seems like a compete scam.

The wool dryer ball seems a bit overblown imho. I am dumbfounded why there are so many positive reviews. Just beware if you decide to purchase them, they're not a returnable item.

They do nothing to shorten drying time.
