Pros & Cons

The AI used to provide these results are constantly improving. These results might change.

Pros

The hex shank is a littler larger than the standard 1/4” but it works as a round shank as well. The * thread at the tip helps stabilize the bit. Drilled effortlessly using a brace.

The stops are snug in the new holes but should expand with use. It self feeds nicely and makes nice clean holes very fast.

The bench has two 3/4” plywood sheets as a top. After 10-12 holes in solid maple the bit still looks new. Used to put 60+ holes in construction-grade 4x4s and in a single cedar 4x4.

This is a sharp bit that pulls like a dray horse. It leaves a perfectly cylindrical hile with a clean finish. It comes with a black coating and it makes for a smoother cut.

Cons

Holes are too small for 3/4 dowels or steel rod to use as bench dogs. Would not purchase again. Go with the bosh nail eater.
