The collar remains at right angle to drill.

Good for all bits with no self feed tip as the tightening mechanism is only so strong and the stop can slide down if used with auger bits for example, if the hex moulding the nut fits into was tighter this could be solved.

These are great however on the smallest one the nut started to spin do it wouldn’t tighten up properly.

The fit of the 6mm /1/4 depth stop to a 1/4 drill is marginal, since the locking screw has to be undone almost completely to allow the depth stop to be fitted to the drill.

These relatively cheap guides simply clamp around the drill bit using a screw and nut but clamping firmly all around the circumference of the drill bit.

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

What happens with that is that it slips while you're drilling and you end up missing the stop.

It stopped the drill at the right depth every time.

Now can't see why anyone would make depth stops any other way as the others with just a locking screw seem pointless now.
