Of course i considered purchasing the newer version of the haier cooler but several reviews mentioning a scheduled obsolesence of the unit failing after 45 years exactly what happened to me kept me from doing so

After a power outage the cooler looses the temperature setpoint for both compartments both are set back to 54°f normal settings are 61°64°f
