Came on time and very sharp. Fairly sharp out of the box but some refinement of the edge was required. However, there were a few scratches and blemishes on the cleaver.

This is my first chinese cleaver and i am very satisfied with it so far. I'm excited to see my hubby try it out in the kitchen (after a thorough cleaning in the dishwasher) as he loves his asian cuisine.

Wrap the remaining three fingers around the handle and bob's your uncle. Never have to worry about the tang or rivets falling out, ever.

The 501 has much shorter blade height, more like a nakiri, and not what i was expecting. Not usable in a lot of precise chopping or slicing. Sharpness of the blade is bare minimum also.
