Its not designed to handle fine work as the moving jaw operates off of a single screw which does not locate the sides of the jaws along parallel

The work needs to be large enough to straddle the screw on both sides of the jaw

A drill bit will not strike any part of this vise if the work is centered within the jaws of the vise
