It is a deceiving description of a much better product than the one that was sent. It is no more functional than the box it came in. Thankfully it functions as an ordinary light switch.
Protrudes out the wall, not flush or close to flush. They dim correctly, but if you press the + on the physical switch or through the app, they get dimmer.

Using it with the app it works really well and is amazing
The backlights for the switches are not that bright plus with the app there is an option for turning the backlights off altogether
I am going to try and figure out how to turn everything on with the single “curtains on” command

I eventually did find a description on the web on what voice commands to use to raise and lower the screen

This was counter intuitive to me so i reversed the up and down connections from the projection screen motor to the switch
