The tank is intentionally difficult to drain. The unit refuses to recognize when the reservoir has been drained. The one unit still leaks after running for a half hour or so. Then i find you can't even buy a drain hose for it because it's out of stock... Read More
Smallest screws that barely attach and, even a small amount of adjustment, removes the screws which then strips the threads. Due to the odd design of the hoses at window fitting, it's impossible for it to sit anywhere close to flush with the window.

The quality of the equipment seems to be pretty good no signs of rust or leaks after a heavy summer use
The window bracket absolutely sucks it is flimsy and if you truly want to get an airtight fit you are going to need to do some diy
5 years old this month just started squealing probably a bearing

This is worth the extra price over single hose units

They shipped a new one at no charge which i recieved in the fall of 2022 so i did not start it then
This year i contacted whynter and was told i would have to ship it back to them via fedx
She also kept us informed on the process of when the unit would be shipped to us
They issued the return paperwork and i had it packed up and shipped by ups
Packaging/appearance
Getting the box up the stairs took a bit of effort but it was worth it
Unpacking it even the hoses and window insert was noticeably of better quality

Great product sure i thought it would be a little quieter but it’s way better than other brands
Hope it lasts longer than my previous brand that broke after 3 years
I bought a black and decker around the same price and rating

Just disappointed that the front plastic panel came cracked about 10 inches with a hole about 1 inch by 1 inch
