The ink is fairly transparent but not completely unreadable and it is fairly difficult to erase

Only draw back is once the chalk is on for a few minutes it wont come off with eraser but a wet cloth takes it off easily

Also one of the magnets on the marker cap keeps falling off glue didnt hold

I put them on my canisters and when it comes time to put something different inside of them all i have to do is grab a marker off the front of the refrigerator and erase my previous writing and jot down whatever i am putting into the canister next
