On the metal blades it says in big letters carbo titanium and on the packaging it clarifies this by saying they are carbo nitride and titanium bonded

I dont really know what any of that means but speaking visually the metal does look an attractive shade of grey

The handles are hard white plastic with an embedded softer green mottled material where your hand comes into contact with them when you are holding them

Relatively short blades are not so good for light duty such as straight cuts in paper
