Pros

The 12 cup westbend percolator is easy to use and easy to clean. Use a good coarse grind coffee and wet the coffee basket before adding the coffee to minimize the grinds going into the brew.

West bend makes a much hotter cup of coffee with far less grounds ending up in the coffee as the other two brands. It tastes a lot better than the coffee from automatic drip coffee makers as well as the kerig single cup machines. Smells great brewing,... Read More

Cons

When brewing i have to stop and unplug the unit to reposition the perk stem. Indicator light that comes on when the coffee is done brewing is quite dim. Coffee itself is the worst i've ever had. It tastes burnt.

The percolator is inconvenient to use. The glass knob on the top also keeps popping off. Manufacturer puts what appears to bead a small bead of silicone under the glass/plastic bubble on the lid.

Still searching for a quality percolator. It is okay but feels cheaply made. The plug is also very cheap and not at all quality.

Price

It’s ridiculously expensive to keep up my coffee addiction is bad for the environment and infuses my body with plastic

You can buy filters made for percolators but they are expensive

One would think that after spending 60 on a coffee maker that parts would be offered

Nice item fast delivery would buy again

They responded back via email and and asked for pictures which i sent the same day

We are happy with the order deliver and coffee maker

If it breaks i will be ordering a new one immediately for asap delivery

Packaging/appearance

I unplugged the cord from the pot and took a picture and sent it to them and asked what is the next step

They need me to send them a picture of the cut cord from the pot

Competitiveness

I would recommend this and we have not gone back to a regular drip coffee maker since we purchased this the coffee taste so much better

Decided to go back to percolator and researched 5 or 6 brands reading reviews and specs of each

Recently the plastic perulator top broke and i submitted a ticket to west bend to purchase a replacement part
