Pros & Cons

The AI used to provide these results are constantly improving. These results might change.

Pros

Both products are rich sources of the marine carotenoid, fucoxanthin, and the marine polysaccharide. It is really tasty! My friends who wouldn't dream of eating just seaweed are amazed at how good it is.

Wakame kelp is a staple for japanese cuisine. One or two pinches is all you need for 4 cups of miso soup. Adds a nice salty, crunchy touch to your oriental dishes, hot or cold.

The other product, emerald cove silver grade pacific wakame, sells for $29. On amazon. If you can't purchase any from a local shop, this is a great option to consider.

Cons

The only ingredient listed is seaweed. To me it smells and tastes like ripe field hay. This product contains a chemical known to the state of california to cause cancer. That is if u don't want cancer or children with birth defects.

Just a little bit of the dried seaweed rehydrated into a substantial portion

I underestimated the resulting volume after the seaweed is rehydrated so i used the excess to make a small salad

To prepare it you just soak it in water for 45 minutes

It is a small package being only 2 oz

Others noted feeling sick after eating these and questioned the lead warning on the bag

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I didnt experience any ill effects and suspect the lead warning is just asian companies being overly cautious of labeling regulations

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Mild seaweed taste a little goes a long way as its dried and opens up like tea leaves
