I had been using a wein minimate™ as180i purchased here at amazon for several years but the lithium rechargeable batteries in it only lasted less than four hours

Also the ionic output of the as300 greatly exceeds that of the as180i

The onoff button for the as300 on the back of the unit is much more durable than that on the as180i

The ease of simply plugging in a usb cord makes recharging much simpler than constantly swapping recharged lithium 123 batteries into the as180i which was tricky due to the somewhat fragile battery cover

The as300 has a blue light behind the metal grid at the top to indicate when it is on vs

I can feel a stronger ionic wind from the as300 than from the as180i so i think the protection should be better
