Pros
It is not a panacea, but i gathered 10 lb of little acorns in less than an hour without damage to lawn. Is the getting the acorns out of the collector easy and intuitive?
Sturdy and well made. Not flimsy. One handle is comfortable. However, it beats bending down all the time.
This is a must have for a * shooting range. Will pick up most center fire brass except for very large rifle. Only down-side is that it will pick up anything that will go through or partway through the wires.
You just role it and they start appearing in the basket.
Cons
Weasel is not easier to use or any more effective than a rake. When the wires open to allow an acorn in, it also allows acorns out, which means they go flying. Now it's destined for the next garage sale.

It separates caps often and misses anything thats not in an open patch or on the top of the grass

It would be easier if there were a trap door one could open instead of spreading apart the tines
