Quality

They are the best i could find 1010 product

A simple sturdy reliable product that works for years

Actually ive never noticed a spinup with these but you sure as hell knew all about it with the seagates

Packaging/appearance

Such a good packaging is what gives you confidence to use the drives to store precious data

The noise can get a bit loud but they still good hard drives easy to install to the drobo

Only 300 hrs powered on so far but no issueson the packaging previously wd red disks have been shipped in terrible packaging

They were in the box with just paper to stop them sliding about there was no air pocket type packaging to protect the drives

Competitiveness

Still going strong after years of heavy use in a qnap nas

Ive used several size variations of these drives in a synology nas and an xpenology variant and they have never let me down yet

Used on a synology ds918 system crash and failed on less than 2 years of not much use only for plex streaming gopro footage

A single drive replacement in a drobo 5 can be done live and takes about 24 hours to rebuild
